The MACCA (Exhibition of Animation and Short Films of Cassà) has been held by Cineclub Vuitimig since 2000 and takes place on the first weekend of February. With a desire to be didactic, multidisciplinary and audience-pleasing, the festival aims to bring animated cinema and the world of short films to all through screenings, workshops, competitions and exhibitions. 

The programme is made up of shorts, ranging from video clips to children's films to ones which are hard to find in mainstream circles. But the MACCA does not only seek out spectators, it is especially on the lookout for audiovisual creators: the participants of school animation workshops and those of Correcurts, one of its most recognised short film events, are a good example.
